About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting! It is my goal as your full service Realtor specializing in the Brighton, Fort Lupton, and North Denver areas, to provide you with superior service at all times. My local expertise, education, and extensive experience will benefit you whether you are serious about buying or selling a home or commercial property at this time, or are a returning client checking out the many homeowner resources I offer.

Allow me to share a bit about my background and what I can do for you. I am a Colorado native, born and raised in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains on the eastern plains of Colorado. My family were among the early pioneers in Colorado, settling first in Ouray, and later moving to Weld County on the Northern plains.

For nearly a hundred years my family have been active in the Fort Lupton, Colorado community and I am proud to carry on in that tradition. I have served on the Fort Lupton City Council, and the Weld County Council. I have been a long-time member of the Fort Lupton Chamber of Commerce as well as assorted other civic organizations.

I received my education here in Colorado. I graduated in 1982 from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley with a B.S. in Small Business Management, and in 2003 I finished an MBA in International business at Regis University in Denver.

I grew up working in the family businesses including, a construction company, a gas station, and a restaurant. This experience made me an entrepreneur at heart; I love the challenge of developing and operating a successful business. Upon graduating from UNC, I became general manager of The Branding Iron Restaurant in Fort Lupton, CO; where I developed many of my business and financial skills.

Opportunities led me into land development in the late 1990s. As a project manager I have negotiated and coordinated real estate development agreements, water dedication agreements, and managed engineering, technical services, and construction contracts.

My interests outside of Real Estate include: travel, music, bicycling, skiing and cooking. I met my wife, Anita, in 2000, on one of my many travels to Central America. Anita immigrated to Colorado from The Netherlands to be with me and she now works in a lab in the OB/GYN Department at the C.U. Health Sciences Center. We have a Wheaton Terrier, Jake, who loves the wide-open spaces at Buffalo Ridge Estates and the Rocky Mountain snow.

Buffalo Ridge Estates is my current development project. Buffalo Ridge Estates is a development of 3-acre horse properties between Fort Lupton and Hudson, CO with beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains and Colorado’s eastern plains.
